Hi. I was able to get my Walzflex apart using Dan Mitchell's helpful article: (http://daniel.mitchell.name/cameras/walzflex/walzflex.html ) I've scraped out the old lubricant, which had turned into some sort of cement. Before relubing and reassembly, I wanted to fix the frame counter which wasn't working when I got the camera. Everything seems to be there, including the spring which resets it. The little drive wheel engages the gears as it should. However, the counter does not turn when the internal friction wheel is turned, but remains on the same index mark (the target-like mark next to the zero). I'm also not sure how the pawl and dial are supposed to reconnect. Dan Mitchell's article says the pawl has to start at a specific place on the gear but doesn't specify where that is. Here is a link to some photos I took of the layout: http://www.webwright.ca/photos/walzflex.htm Any advice appreciated! George |
