There are close-up lenses 43.5mm to fit the Trip 35. Does anyone know if I could get a compatible adaptor to add a zoom? I found a place with a 43.5 to 52 mm step-up, would this be any use? Thanks for reading this! |

You cannot add a zoom lens to this camera. Close-up lenses are a completely different thing all together. You may be able to find some weired after market wide or tele adapters. As you have no viewfinder frames for these - framing you subject will be a hit and miss affair. |

Thanks you, Roberto, that's a great help! I suppose it won't stop me trying, though, sigh! But probably I'll understand it all better in a while. |

I think you are saying zoom but meaning tele. Tele and wide angle adapters along with the standard fixed lens would be the equivalent of a zoom without any focal lengths in between. Zooms change focal length infinitely between two fixed focal lengths. Henry |

So-called step-up (or in a very limited way, of course, step-down) rings aka "adaptors" were used to be able to use filters on cameras of different filter thread diameters, like: a 55mm filter on a camera with a 43.5mm thread by means of a step-up ring bridging the gap. Hope this helps a bit, W. |
