I picked up this camera in a box of as-is cameras. Someone had taken the rewind crank off. It sounds like the rest of the assembly is in side the camera but I need to open the back. Anyone have any tricks of the trade to pop the latch on the back when the rewind shaft is out? |

Use a crochet hook and just do it by feel - easy. |

On most L-series Prakticas, you can get to the bottom end of the latch plate by removing the bottom cover of the camera (just a few screws, but don't lose the rewind release button). With the bottom off, just push up on the tab on the left side of the camera. |

Thanks for the info. If I had just taken the bottom plate off first, the solution would have been obvious in the first place. |
