Hi! I've just buyed for nearly nothing an canonet QL17GIII, shutter and lens are perfect but I've one problem. The second is that the hotshoe for the flash is pulled out. I don't use the flash so I just plan to cover the hole but do you think that there could be any problem with the electric system? thank you for your help! benoit |

I do not expect any problems for the electric system if you just close the hole. But you could transplantate the hot shoe of a broken Canonet 28 onto the GIII-QL17. It is the same one. If you are interested I could have a look in my parts box. I should have a top cap of a 28 there. |

Thank you for your help, I opened the my canonet and checked, you are right, it should not change anything. Thank you for your offer but I will just stick something on it. I should find something to be able to access the screw for the adjustment of the rangefinder. But I think there's a problem of battery and/or electric system, even with a PX625 I've got no check light or metering... I guess that there's something wrong somewhere else (I checked the battery compartment and repaired it)... I will give it to a specialist to check completely! |
