Hello, I recently disassembled a Domiplan 50/2.8 for an Exa camera to put back in place the little part that pushes the blades of the iris when you fire the camera. In the process, the two springs that go inside the two "nails" that engage in the rail on the inner helix jumped out. Once I put them back and reassembled the body of the lens, the springs got bent, so I tried to see if the lens would work without them. To my surprise, it looks as if the lens works just as well without the springs since the two nails do go inside the rail and allow apparently normal focusing. Hence my question: what is the use of these two springs and can I do without them? Thank you for any idea you may have. Esfandiar |
