Hello, I have purschased new Yashica D with Yashinon lens. I do have the same at homa. I tried to test infinity focus. But - obviously, both Yashicas I own have some kind of film flatness problem. I have trie d 4 rolls of film - on the old Yashica one film crisp sharp, second film blurry. On the new Yashica - both films unsharp. I have checked sharpness in the focusing plane with help of an old matte screen and loupe 60x - definitely, both Yashicas DO focus to infinity. The tripod and head I used holds my Kiev 60 very well, so the problem must be really film flatness. I have found several discusions on this topic in Web, but no proper solution. My idea is - glue something on the spring that makes pressure ontho the roll of loaded film in the botoom of my yashica- do you think it would helb ? Should I try to tension the film more ? (because I think the one sharp roll I made was the case when I didnt carry much about film tensioning by inserting). Thanks for comments. Jakub. |
