Sounds good - just be sure that your focus is accurate. Putting foam on the mirror rests is an INCREDIBLE idea for such an expensive camera.

actually it's not foam, it's rubber. Foam would have been simpler and easier to replace...:-)

you still have the main problem (focus alignment because of the faulty mirror angle) and things will worsen in time (the rubber will get flatter and flatter after each mirror punch). You need to change it one day. Please see the above tutorial.
