Hello, My brand new AF-540 FGZ flash has a bug. After I switch the flash on I hear noise for 2 or 3 seconds and no indication on LCD. Then the sound goes off and the flash charges. The LCD turns on as well. But the zoom is stuck @ 16 mm. The zoom indicator is blinking and shows "16" on it. Neither can not switch from the manual to auto zoom, nor can I change from 16 mm to anything else. The flash charges and fires, so it looks as a mechanical issue. Has someone tried to repair the AF540FGZ yourself or has anybody other Pentax zoom flashes repair experience? Any hints here? Val |

One hint: If you have a brand new product that doesn't work, send it back. Attempting to repair it will leave you with a plastic doorstop. |

This is perfectly correct. However, the flash was bought in the US and to repair it here in Europe will cost more than 100 EUR |
