The light meter in my old Minolta SRT 101 does not work, so I decided to open it up and see if I could fix it. Not only I could not do it, but the thread that runs in pulleys that connects and moves several internal parts disengaged. I need a thread position diagram and a light meter replacement. |

i have some sketches that might help, but i don't have a meter for you. email me at [email protected] for a copy. one problem with the SRT meters is the on/off switch wearing out: it's a piece of circuit board, and the conductive surface can wear out with long use. there are other possibilities, but this one is an easy place to check (once you have it back together) |

Although there is a number of possibilities for lightmeters in SRTs to fail, I have never seen a defective (really broken) meter. A close analysis of what is actually wrong is the first step towards a repair. For a next step to take I can suggest this link http://www.iespana.es/bowman/minoling02.html This document explains how to get everything apart AND back together again, and I found it very helpful with respect to repositioning the strings, W. |
