I just purchased an Mamiya rb67 127 mm lens with a Seiko shutter. I am trying to disassemble the lens starting with unscrewing the front ring so I can unscrew the front lens assy. The ring will turn a few times and stop. Is this suppose to happen or the ring thread is damage?

Your threads might be a bit worn. The ring should come off all the way, sometimes it's a bit stiff but it will come up with a bit of force.

Once you get the ring out, the cell is next. Take off the rear cell as well.

The lens then comes appart like a layer cake form the top. You'll see small screws that will let you take the layers off one at a time. Be sure to organize the screws in a weekly pill organizer by layer. They are slightly different.
