I recently purchased a Canon AE-1 black and its damn near mint! Unfortunately, the meter is broken. When u depress the shutter, no matter what ss or f/stop, it reads f/11 on the meter. If I remove the lens, it does the same thing. The only way to get it to do any thing differently is to do a battery check, or to depress the tab inside the camera with the lens off, then it reads f/5.6. What do I do with this?!?!?!?

Also, the diaphragm control does not work, only by stopping down will the aperture on lens change.
