I just found this camera. The shutter curtain is crooked. Batteries dead. When I used the film advance, it seems the top of that plastic thingy that drags the curtain is going ok but the lower part is off the rail so to speak. Any hope? Worth getting batteries? Thank you so much Sandra |

Hi Sandra- If the curtains are crooked, the curtain tape is off the track- either disconnected at the takeup end or off the takeup shaft. Repair is straightforward but requires nearly complete disassembly of the camera. New batteries won't help. |

So not something you would recommend I try on a 50 cent camera? |

Hi Sandra- You did just fine for fifty cents! Either give it Viking funeral or put it up on e-bay describing it just the way you did here. |

The shutter on my Minolta SLR opens but won't close again. What might be wrong and is there an estimate of how much will it cost to repair? Janice |

Hi, Janice. A few questions...what model? When you say the shutter opens, can you describe that a little more for us? Jon |
