And no the answer is not a new camera!

My 9xi is displaying help in the LCD screen, mirror is stuck up and the aperture ring is firm at 2:00 o'clock, typical winding noise when you remove and re-insert battery, mirror drops 1/2 down and then slowly back into the up position.

Any help, thanks.
