I recently received an antique kodak vigilant six-20 camera. It has a flash dakon shutter and a kodak anastigmat f: 6.3 105mm lense. It is in perfect condition except for one problem, the shitter sometimes gets stuck and takes it's time closing. Could someone please provide me with some information on removing the lense, so that I might be able to lubricate the shutter's parts.

thank you.

Maybe they make tiny suppositories for cameras?
Someone has GOT to make a website to collect forum bloopers!!

Unscrew the stud that sticks out of the focusing part of the lens.

The focusing helical has a multi-start thread, so choose a way to take notes/measurements that you can put it back together the same way. (Either note the position when the threads separate, or measure the distance it protrudes at infinity.)

Unscrew the front focusing lens element.

Make a ring clamp to clamp onto the lens element behind it, it is holding on the front of the shutter. Use the ring clamp to remove that element. It may take a LOT of torque.

Now you can lift the front face of the shutter, and see the works. You probably need to remove the timing gear train, dissasemble and clean in lighter fluid. Reassemble and see if it runs with proper timing dry. If not, you need the tiniest amount of fine oil at each pivot.

When you reassemble, you need to check infinity focus.

Oh, but do check that the bellows isn't leaking before putting much effort in the shutter.
