The light meter housing on my 124G is loose and appears to be near detachment. How is the meter supposed to be attached? Is it a fairly simple proceedure to do so?

The meter is held in place by two screws that screw into the body of the camera. You need to remove the finder hood (4 screws) to access the meter screws.

I have an EM that had the meter actually knocked off from the camera being dropped. The meter mount is die cast zinc (?) and quite fragile.

Hopefully yours is just loose - but you may find that the meter mount is fractured. I repaired mine by adding a pair of thin spring steel plates to the meter that screw in to the camera.
