The speeds slower than 1/30 second stick. The shutter does not close all the way. Faster speeds seem to work just fine. Is this an expensive repair or one that I might tackle on my own?

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the escarpment mechanism which controls the slower speeds is either worn, stretched or some combo thereof. Contaflex are hard to work on, and you can get into trouble very quickly if you havent worked on one before.. My advice?.. send it out for a CLA and hope for the best..
