I have a Canon FTbn with quick load. I would appreciate input on two issues. The first has happened twice within 10 rolls of film. At or near the end of the roll I hear ratcheting or scraping during film advance with subsequent partial double- exposure. Film sprocket holes are not damaged, and see/feel neither looseness nor tightness at either end at spindles and quick load assembly. The second problem is a blackened area on the right side of some photos, usually about an inch wide on 4x6 prints, and is even top to bottom. This will happen on 3 or 4 prints on a roll(cartridge), be absent from several rolls, and then return. The only constant that I can offer is all affected shots are daylight, outdoor, at 1/125 or faster. My guess is a shutter curtain problem, but how to proceed? btw, I love this camera. thank you, Jim |

I have the same problem, a blackened area on the right side. When the camera works right it's the best camera I've ever had. I'm apprehensive about using it especially on a trip or important occasion as I worry that the black area will appear. I'd love to get an answer how to fix it. |
