Someone has given me an Olympus XA,which works, but I'm having to press quite hard to fire the shutter.I have a few of these (an XA and an XA2) so I know that the shutter button normally takes only a light touch to fire off.Has anyone had a similar problem,or can you give me any info on how to fix it?Thanks, Sean. |

the release button on the XA is made up of a rubber contact plate with meter in to make the circuit. you could try stripping the switch assembly apart and cleaning all surfaces in there. Andy |

Andy - I've also noticed that the needle in the viewfinder is stuck at the top (at 1/500th) - is this part of the same problem? |
