Hello all, I have unscrewed the four screws, removed the shutter release collar and advance lever, and removed the film rewinding knob. But the plate won't come off. I suspect that the exposure compensation button is causing the problem. But how does one deal with it? If there is anyone who has succesfully removed the top plate, advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Henri |

Or perhaps it is the ASA dial that should be removed before trying to lift the top plate. How is that done? Henri |

There is a spring clip around a collar holding down the ASA dial. You must remove it. Caution...the collar is plastic. To remove it properly, you need a pin expander, but lacking this you can use a couple of screwdrivers to pry it up a bit at a time. Jon |
