I have a voigtlander vito B in very good condition, however, I need to clean the internal lenses and am stuck on how to remove the front cell. I see how to remove the focus ring via the four grub screws but am unsure how to procede further.
Hoping the forum can help. Karl.

First, the Vito B has unit focussing, i.e. the whole lens moves when focussing.

I don't remember it correctly, but if I am not mistaken the tiny set screws hold the name plate ring only. Remove it. Inside the lens barrel you will see a ring with a screw. This screw holds

a) the focus ring to the lens barrel
b) the infinity stop

After loosening this screw you can screw the lens assembly off the focussing helical thread.

I am not sure how to disassemble this without loosing the focus - I had to readjust it after reassembly.

To get access to the rear lens element surface simply set the shutter to B and keep it open.

Thankyou Winfried.
Coution is how I like to go about things and having been looking for a Vito B in such good shape I was not wiling to take risks with the screwdriver at this stage. Thanks again.
Karl.
