Dear all,
lest week , I wanted to open my Nikon FE2, the winder fellt off and the pin fellt inside of the camera (whitch acts as the axis for the film as well as for the opening the camera) The pin is now inside the camera body.. and I'm not able to open the camera !!
the winder is only 'screwd-on' this axis, it must have loosen itself in the last time.
Does anyone knows a trick how to open the camera again??

Wolfgang,
Try a crochet hook, or anything with a hook on its end. Insert it into the rewind shaft opening and try to find a spot where it will engage the release mechanism - simply keep on pulling up with the hook until the door pops open.

fyi--the hook mentioned above is at 9-10 o'clock ( as you're facing the back of the camera) position and you don't need a long tip at the end of whatever you use. I have an old dental probe that I shaped for this purpose. |

Dear both,
thanx a lot for yor infos.. I made it! The camera is now open again .. after re-assembling all the part's, I gave a drop of glue on the screwed-on rewinder.. now it should'nt loose for the next few years.

That problem is caused by rewinding the film, in the wrong direction. My girlfriend has done it a few times....:-(
