Author Message   Robert Rating: N/A Votes: 0 (Vote!) Posted on Sunday, September 26, 2004 - 06:21 pm:        Recieved a Canon AE-1 Program from a friend who has gone digital. When loading the film by advancing I can hear the shutter going off and the shutter is not cocked for the next frame. I can continually forward the film while hearing the shutter go off during each advance. I think the shutter buttom mechanism may be stuck in the down position although the spring loaded button remains up. Is this my problem and any sugestions on fixing?   Ed Rating: N/A Votes: 0 (Vote!) Posted on Monday, September 27, 2004 - 01:34 pm:        take out the battery and see if it happens without the battery--if it does, it is not an electronic problem. It is possible that the magnet (under bottom cover at the rewind end) is not holding--clean magnet surfaces and see if that helps.
