When I release the shutter the 1. curtain moves all the way (as expected) but the 2. curtain moves along at the same time as the 1. curtian an stops about 2/3 of the way, stay there to the expose-time is done, then moves the rest of the way.
Result is 1/3 of the picture is exposed.
Thank you in advance
Peter

I solved my problem with my x300 shutter.
I found a link (German) that explain how to fix my problem. But in my case it was not only a adjustment problem, but also a misadjustment of the 2 gear wheel (blue and white) you can see on the last picture on the webside: http://www.eazypix.de/minolta/x700/rep/shutter.html
Also I found the "service and repair manual" it was a great help

Hope it can help you
Peter

I am having the same problem Peter. Would you mind describing how you fixed the 2 gear wheels?

Thanks,

Brian
