My name is Tim, I work for a small camera repair workshop in Perth, Western Australia. I have encountered a difficult camera - the camera is a Canon DM-MV530i (equivalent of the Canon ZR65-MCA). I have the complete diagram. After changing the head, we still have a problem. The camera plays sound, but will not record sound. I’m pretty sure the problem is not in the mic, though. I have tried everything I can think of but to no avail. If there is anything anyone can think of or if you can be of any help, even just to point me in the right direction, please reply and let me know. Regards Tim @ Cal’s Camera Repair |

The Classic Camera Repair Forum is a get together for people who enjoy tinkering with old cameras. Cameras from the 1970's and earlier, like the classic 30's thru 50's Retina style folders, 60's viewfinders and rangefinders and up to the great 70's SLR's. This is a hobbyist forum for tinkerers and collectors to meet and share experiences. |
