hey everyone i have a canon ae-1 that seems good all around, and took great pictures until recently when the button seems to stick. well, thats my guess anyway. the shutter doesnt open when you push the button, as if it hasnt been advanced completely, but it is completely advanced. i am guessing it is sticking because if i tap on the button with my fingernail, while it is sticking,(which is not every time, but often nonetheless) it will release at random. when it releases, there is no squeak, and everything works fine, except the unexpected photo you just took. anyhow, i am not sure of the energy left in the battery, so i will try and change it tonight. it just seems that the button isnt working correctly. any suggestions? |

one more thing, when it is sticking, and you are pushing the button down, the light meter is working. it just is not releasing the shutter. thanks |
