I had the same problem - one of the V belts split and no spares were available, despite enquiries everywhere that I could think of. In the end, I got a couple of "O" rings, quite chunky ones, and they have done the job without problem. These rings, I believe, were Butyl Rubber and I treated them with Holts Nylon/Rubber lubricant spray. They stay in place - no slipping - and don't cause any 'wow' or 'flutter'. Sorry, I cannot remember the exact size but the internal diameter was the same as the internal diameter of the original V belt. I hope that this helps. Good Luck - John Powell |
