Kodak has one Service Manual for the 4XXX and 5XXX series at: http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/digital/av/slideProjectors/carousel_sm.pdf |

Great - Thanks for that lead. Does anyone know of any online free service manuals for the older Carousels like the 850H and 600, etc.? I seem to have found a couple of those, and my initial excursion into the insides has them pretty complicated to figure out. How similar are they to the newer version in this online manual? |

If the bakelite thingy that allows tray movement is broken as they usually are, try this fix. I developed this several years ago for two of my Carousels and they are still working great. The text has to be in courier for the drawing to show properly. Carousel Projector slide advance replacement part: Flat strip of spring steel or other thin hard metal about 20 AWG | 1/2" | ________________ __ _____ | |_____| 90 deg | | | bend | 3/8" | | | | | | | | | __ | | | | o | | 5/32" | | | __ |_____| Hole is 5/32 from bottom and is 1/16 diameter Use # 0 screw to attach to solenoid shaft. ab 981220 |
