Hi, My new cat knocked my M6/50mm Summicron off a 6' shelf last night... The body is fine, however, the focus on the lens gets stiffer as you approach infinity. Anyone ever seen a Leica lens service manual or exploded parts diagram for this lens? I work on cinema lenses at work, so I have a collimator, lens projector, and a machine shop. I'm sure I can muddle my way through it, but a map would be nice! Thanks! Jon |

Sounds like a minor dent in the barrel that binds as the lens assembiles close up. I can't offer any help beyond moral support: in the early '80s my seal-point siamese knocked a vase full of flowers and water over on top of a VCR. At the time VCRs ran about $400 US dollars. cat lived to be old enough to vote. Mark P. |

Thanks Mark... I was lucky: all I had to do was remove the lens mount and replace it. It was just dislodged! |
