I have a Canon AE1 with a broken eyepiece glass. I was cleaning it, and it broke, now it kind of shakes around the space where it is supposed to be. I want to know how to open, or replace this glass piece. Somebody please help. Its there, but broken, and jiggly. Thanks for the help in advance. |

Hi, Arsen. Did you actually crack the glass, or did it just pop out of its frame? Were you cleaning it? Jon |

Hello, The adhesive that holds the lens in the eyepiece has failed. The actual lens is approx 6mm thick, you need a hammer to break it!To repair you must remove the camera top and then the finder frame. The lens can then be epoxied back.Problem is you need a pin wrench to remove winder retainer and 00 and 000 +head screwdrivers. If you wish,I can tell you how to make pin wrench and adviseif you contact me, Glenn |
