I just bought a little vitomatic. Only problem is that I cant get the shutter to work it will not push down all the way and the lens will not open to take a photo. Am I just missing an "ON" button or could it be broken or is there a place for a battery etc ?? If it is frozen is there any way to "unfreeze" it? Or can anyone direct me to a vito repair site. Thank you! vicki I know nothing about cameras so sorry for the dorkness! |

Hi Vicki There's probably nothing wrong with the camera. Have you put a film in it? Vitomatics (and the Vito/Vito B series) require a film to be loaded for the film winder and shutter release to work. If you're just playing with one of these, you can cock the shutter by turning the sprocket inside the camera. Kind of inconvenient to keep opening it up but you can test a shutter without actually wasting film. |
