A couple of weeks ago I found a Yashica Electro 35 GSN in a thrift shop. It looked brand new, like it never had been used or left it's equally fine ever-ready case. Everything on it worked smoothly, and I constructed a simple adaptor for a modern 6-volt battery. I also replaced the foam rubber light seals. The other day I ventured to remove the top cover. I replaced the foam rubber ring around the rewind crank, cleaned a little fogging in the viewfinder and checked the (healthy) rebound pad in the shutter release mechanism. When putting the cover back on, I applied too much torque to the pin face screw that holds the film advance lever, and the screw snapped off. Well, I guess you know the feeling... The pin face screw has two pin holes and is 14 mm in diameter, the screw itself is 2,5 mm. Has anyone here an original part to sell (or swap)? Many thanks in advance. I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Learning the hard way! |
