I have a SL 11 35MM Camera that I bought years ago (Sears). I am interested in getting the mirror for this camera. Bob |

Bob, I think you may have a rather uncommon model but it's quite possibly a Mamiya NP clone. NP is one of the several types of Mamiya Prismats. In that case there may be other camera bodies that could serve as a donor to include Nikkorex F, Ricoh Singlex (1st), Argus SLR, Sears Tower 32A, 32B, 37B. I see some of these occasionally selling on eBay, more often as parts cameras. Look for something under $20 if possible. Maybe someone in the forum has a better lead? Not sure if the later Mamiya CWP etc. used the same mirror; possibly same size but different linkage. Good luck getting that mirror out and one reinstalled! Maybe a lot of delicate time consuming work involved? Another possible option might be to salvage the SL II top and bottom plates and install them on another fully functional Mamiya NP clone (assuming those particular parts will interchange). The Mamiya NP clones I have come across usually have one significant problem or another (ratchety advance wind, jammed shutter, stiff lens focus, etc.) but they can be nice when working properly. |

Bob, to follow up Gary's note, look at Ron Herron's 35mm Mamiya site. http://herron.50megs.com/index.htm Look under the Prismat heading and also the Manuals heading. Orlin |
