The aperture slider on my XA will not move to the flash position with the A11 attached. Is there a mechanical interlock not functioning?

This is one of the quirks of the XA. Simultaneously push down on the clear flash square (the clear lighted square on the top of the A11)while you push the aperature slider into the flash position. It takes a little practice but then it's second nature.
