Hello, I have a FED 5V which has a slightly reticent rangefinder arm. What happens is that the arm moves well when the lens flange pushes it back from the lens for longer distances, but when focusing in close, the arm does not want to come all of the way forward. As such, the RF patch does not always follow when doing close focusing. When I push the RF arm with my finger, there is a noticeable lack of resistance further forward. Does anybody know of a way to adjust this, or is there a need for lubricant somewhere? Thank you, |
Rob

You may wish to try to put a drop or two of naphtha fuel on the pivot, and work it back and forth a couple of times. Just don't drown it. There may just be some dirt that needs to be flushed out. I have a Fed 5C. The tops come off of the camera easily enough. |
