I HAVE A FG I WANT TO GIVE MY GRANDSON BUT THE FILM ADVANCE ROLLER TURNS BUT IT WILL NOT LOCK THE FILM WHEN YOU TAKE UP SLACK WITH THE REWIND LEVER THE FILM WINDS BACK UP. I THINK THE FILM RELEASE DOESN'T RESET.ANYONE HAVE A PARTS PIC.ON THIS REPAIR SO IF I OPEN IT UP I WILL BE ABLE TO COUNT THE ALL THE WORMS. |

Sounds like a can of worms there. You could try pushing the rewind button (underneath the camera) to see if it's jammed or loose while moving the film advance sprocket back and forth. This button when pushed in frees the sprocket to enable the film to be rewound. It should re-engage when the advance lever is worked. PL |

I WANT TO THANK P. LANKEY FOR HIS SUGESTION ON MY NIKON FG FILM ADVANCE PROBLEM .I TOOK THE BOTTOM OFF AND FOUND THE FILM REWIND RELEASE BOTTON WAS STICKING A SUPPER SMALL DROP OF TEFLON OIL MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT REPAIR BUT IT WORKED,, IT HAD BEEN 10 YEARS SENCE I USED THE CAMERA AND FOR GOT HOW FARE THE RELEASE BUTTON CAME OUT THE BOTTOM. WONDERFUL SIGHT WISH ALL THE SAME SUCSESS WITH THERE PROBLEMS. |
