I am struggling to remove the top cover of a postwar Super Ikonta BX 6x6(The one with the small selenium meter on top). The viewfinder needs a good cleaning! The only thing still holding my light chrome cover in place is a collar at the base of the advance knob. Does anyone know how to remove this? Is it screwed in place? Do I need to remove the leatherette somewhere and remove the top casting as a whole? Thanks |

Marco. Davi Richert at his web page has a detailed description on how to remove the top plate of a Super Ikonta B. Now I do understand that that is not the same as the BX, but perhaps you may get a hint. |

Marco, as regards your kind answer to my question below: in which direction should be flat spring be placed? CW oe CCW? That is, with the arms pointing to the right like a swastika, or to the left? |
