The shutter of the Electro 35cc does not have a B setting. Does anyone know how to clean the surface of the rear lens block facing the shutter please? Thanks! |

I have cleaned the inner glass surfaces of the rear lens on such cameras like for example the Mamiya 135 (no B setting, shutter blades allow no access to lens), by operating the camera in the flash mode (1/30 sec or slower if possible) and carefully inserting a wooden toothpick into center of the open/closing shutter blades. They can then be carefully held open long enough for cleaning the lens with a cotton or microfiber bud, moistened with half a drop of lighter or lens cleaning fluid if desired. Make sure to be extremely careful not to bend the blades. If you find this procedure too risky there is no other way than to remove the frontplate to get access to the lens surface facing the film chamber. |

Thanks Werner for the tips. I have removed the name ring and the first element of the front block, but the rest of the front block cannot be removed. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the front block? Thanks! |
