So, it seems the front lens assembly is waaaay too tight, as well as being placed next to the splined shaft making that basically a nono. So I was thinking of entering from the rear element. I assumed I'll need to take off the top plate, but I was wondering about the self timer lever, it has small holes for a tool I guess, does it turn clockwise (as you're looking at the camera) or anti clockwise? Any help on general rear element stuff appreciated. Thanks. |

The "holder" for the self-timer lever is "reverse"thread -- turn it clockwise to remove. But you need to remove the front lens anyway to get to the shutter blades -- I'm assuming that's the problem, it almost always is with the RD! |
