Hi, I am removing the top of my K-1000 but I cannot figure out how to remove the counter/wind lever. Everything else is off. Any suggestions? |

Hello Zippyone Greetings from Dublin. (1) Remove counter cover 3 small screws around sides (2) Remove screw in centre of film counter (NOTE) This screw unscrews (CLOCKWISE) (3) Remove counter disc (4) If there is a centre ring nut (silver) 2 slots remove this. If not contact me on email. (5) If step 4 O.K. remove next disc. (6) Remove 3 screws holding winder retaining spring, turn spring app.1/3 turn remove spring and then winder lever And remove plastic dust washer. Thats it Any Problems Contact Me. P.S. Hi Clive, I figured out the reverse screw. The problem was with the release button housing, it was canted inward from an accident (dropped with cable release attached). I removed the top, straightened the relase housing, reset the chromed push pin which had fell in, and straightened the release plate which was bent. I did note that there are (at least) two different styles of the K-1000. The top of the rewind base was plastic on one and metal on the other. Thanks for your assistance. I also have one with a bad wind gear (someone forced the wind lever and severely stripped the wind gear) but I know I need parts for that repair and I will have to wait for another to come in so I can repair it. |

I have these gears , If you send me the damaged gear i cansend you a good one you will also need the gear beside it as this one usualy is damaged also.
