I stumbled across the title of this book but could not find any abstracts or reviews. Does anyone have any experience with this book? |

"Camera Repair Simplified" is an oxymoron. There may as well be a book entitled "Brain Surgery Simplified". |

Winfried, I don't know this book you mention, but I have generally found these types of general repair books to be less than useless because of their obvious inability to cover specific models in detail. There's usually a section on cleanliness, flood-cleaning, and how to obtain or make your own camera disassembly tools and shutter testers. I've read your posts on rangefinders, etc. and know that you are way, way beyond that early stage! I'd skip it. |

I think I read the book some years ago, as I recall it was quite short, and didn't have a whole lot of useful information. There are a couple I have read and liked: Camera Repairman's Handbook, and Camera Maintenance & Repair (two vols.) |
