...Can I have an explanation on how to understand the red engrave letter on the lens barrel for f-stop and speed combination ? It shows "red" for shutter speed of 50 ... f-stop of 8 ... and distance at 15 ... ...Are these means guidline for snapshot picture ?
F/8 at 1/50 was the "sunshine" exposure for Kodachrome in the late 1950s when the camera was made; 15 would have represented the hyperfocal distance at f/8, so that you could set the camera at the red settings and snap away on a sunny day without worrying about setting anything.
