Hi All, My Yashica Electro 35 GSN has been through bad repair hands, and now I see a feeble yellow double image of the subject in the non-focussing region of the viewfinder (outside the yellow diamond). I am not sure if this topic has come up before. What could be the reason. The ghost image for focussing moves correctly with turning of the lens focus ring, but the other image does not change (image is always shifted left by a constant distance when looking through the VF). Is this due to some rangefinder misalignment, and how do I correct it? Thanks, Anirban |

There is a big convex lens in the center of the viewfinder. It has a hole for the rangefinder image. Usually there is a rectangular blind around the hole, maybe someone did not put it back into place. |
