I have just bought a fed 5c and would to like to fit a flash can anyone tell me what flash would be suitable and what cable would be required thnks in advance |

Any standard strobe will work. It seems to me the FED5 had a hot shoe; if not, it takes a regular PC cord that comes standard with most flash units. |

The FED5 has a focal plane curtain shutter. Probably the max sync speed is 1/30 sec. If you select faster speeds pics will be exposed partially only. |

To support Winfried's post, yes the maximum synch speed is indeed 1/30 of a second. It's also the only flash synch speed. It's a mechanical camera, and as a result, any electronic flash will do. It is in "X" synch. The camera has a hot shoe (which in my first camera body had trouble with the contact points), but it also has a pc synch socket on the back side of the top cover. |
