Hi, looking to protect this lens,(Skylight, haze, etc...) can anyone help? I'd like to get one on ebay,or from here, if anyone has one... but I don't know what size to get. M |

Mike, most people use UV lenses to protect their lenses. Take a ruler and measure the diameter at the front of your lens. Make sure to measure the inner diameter, the outer diameter will be 2-3 mm larger. You should be able to find these filter at your local photography shop, or you can buy one on ebay. |

The size is 40.5 mm, you can get them from B&H photo, there made by tiffen and others, the Tiffen being the less expense at about $10.00 ea. |

Hello, the I-50 takes either a 36mm push on or a 33mm screw in filter........... |

Dave, I think you are right, I measured a little under 35mm with my (crappy) caliper. Thanks! |

Heres what Ive done, take a 36mm push on and knock the glass out. Take a 40.5 and remove glass. Now, the 36mm will press fit into the rear of the 40.5,, add a drop of epoxy. Now, we have an adaptor so we can use 40.5's with all our FSU lenses and carry one set for all....... |
