my minolta AL was in the leather case, it dropped... I cussed... now the film lever will not advance, and shutter button seems to not be engaging --- can i fix myself, is it worth fixing? please help!!!! Camera is new to me and I've taken a fondness to it.... |

I got minolta Al from my grandfather, I like it very much. The camera still work pretty well excapt there is no battery in it. I like to by the batter but I don't know the what size of the battery, and serial number of the battery. please help. thank you very much for your help kusnandar |

Kusnandar, The Minolta AL has a selenium lightmeter, which does not need a battery. Since the camera is fully mechanical, it does not require a battery for any of its functions. Did you look at the camera at all? It does not even have a battery compartment...... Good luck, Jan |

Hello, There is simplified model too, Minolta AL-F. It have CdS photocell and it is using PX625 battery. |
