Anyone know how to disassemble the above lens? I removed the three screws on the base and loosened the set screws for the rear lens element but after that it still won't come apart. I need to take it apart as the diaphragm won't work (at all, stays open).
Help please.

the exakta version comes apart from the rear: 3 screws remove the back cover, then 3 more remove the mount, then 3 under that remove the panel that holds the rear element. under that are the diaphragm blades.

Thank you. What initally stopped me was the press fit rear mount. I did not want to pry it up without knowing where I was heading. BTW, when I opened the mechanism, it was full of lubricant as if someone had drenched the entire mechanism with machine oil. After removing the blade cover, cleaning and reassembling everything, it worked fine. Again, thank you and Happy Holidays.

My next job is to re-curtain an Exakta VXIIa (gulp).
