When I press the shutter release button the shutter does not click. Also the film advance lever does not lock, it continues to advance each time I press the lever. The shop says the repairs are not worth the amount of work involved and the parts that may be needed are almost impossible to find. Any other advice or information on how to fix this problem is GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you!! |

it sounds like the shutter is not cocking. when you advance the lever, is the sprocket shaft turning inside the camera? the shop guy is undoubtedly right; unless this turns out to be very easy, you can probably pick up an equivalent camera on ebay for much less than this would cost to fix. |

when i advance the lever there is no resistance and there is no clicking sound, which i assume from what you've said, means the sprocket shaft is not turning. a friend mentioned the battery may need replacing. this seems too easy a solution.. but i hope it does the trick. thank you! |
