If the discoloration is black and streaked like tar, you probably smeared the remains of the mirror damper seals on your focusing screen. Use Q-tips and isopropyl alchohol to clean the bottom of the focusing screen. You may also use naptha or lighter fluid, but be careful. The mirror damper seals should be replaced along with the film door seals if it has never been done, since they deteriorate on all of the older cameras and turn to a gooey tar like substance. |
