Hi all I git a Olympus XA 2 with the flash and case at Goodwill. The lens has a scratch and some marks. Can I change the front element and where do I get one. Thanks John

Don't worry about it unless it's a huge great gouge out of the front element. Fungus is much more of a problem.

no fungus just a big scratch across the lens and a couple of small ones. I have another on the way. Maybe for parts or if it's better then the one I have it will become a parts camera.

It might be worth testing it by shooting a few photos. I am often surprised by how little effect a few scratches or even a scuff on the front lens has on the image. A lens with really heavy cleaning marks will, however, show considerably less sharpness and contrast.

I have noticed that cleaning marks on the rear (inside) lens surface affect the image much more than marks on the front element surface. Maybe because it is smaller?
