Does anyone know how one adjusts the rangefinder on an Agfa Ambi Silette? Mine is out both on the horizontal (9 feet measures as 12) and vertical. Is there a secret pair of adjustment screws, hidden somewhere? :> If I start disassembling in order to remove the top, it'll be fun toy day for the cats (think little springs and screws being batted along the floor.) |

It is not very difficult to remove the top of an Agfa Ambi Silette. There will be no springs being battled along. It is strait forward. The most critical part is the re-assembly of the frame counter. Make notes or take some pictures of every step of the disassembly. It is also a good opportunity to clean the rangefinder and the view finder. I have stored a very good japanese html repair article on my disk. It contains lots of selfexplaining pictures. Unfortunately I do not remember the URL from which I got it. If you do a google search on "Agfa Ambi Silette" and carefully check the links in Japanese you should find it. |

Here is the Japanese repair page that you referred to: http://www3.pinky.ne.jp/~cefiro/camera/repair/AmbiSilette(II)/AmbiSilette2_2.html (Not sure why the link is broken...) |
